How are the Top Unreached Areas Identified?
The Mission Site Profile combines Perspectiva data with the Sitescape Location Typology and then applies an algorithm to identify the top locations with the least active evangelical presence that also have the least resistence to the gospel. The Sitescape is a location typology based upon population density that classifies every sitescape identification centroid in terms of its place on an urban to rural scale. Top unreached calculations are made at multiple ring diameters while weighting the percent of active evangelical presence with the presence of non-Christian religions, non-religious movements and new religious movements in the ring studies. Top locations begin with the most unreached in a state and move out to the next location without overlapping.
